Our box scheme customers receive a weekly delivery of fresh, seasonal, local produce. As much of it as possible comes from our own site in Vallis Vale, but we do buy in organic vegetables from other local suppliers. Our aim is to increase the proportion of Frome-grown produce as our project expands.
We offer five year-round box options, which we deliver to home or work addresses in Frome on Thursday afternoons/evenings:
- Mini (min 8 items in smaller quantities) - £6.50
- Small (min 6 items) - £8.25
- Medium (min 8 items) - £10.75
- Large (min 10 items) - £13.45
- Potato & Onion free box (min 7 items) - £10.35
In addition, during the growing season only (usually mid-July to mid-October) we offer a Monday Box for £10, mostly comprising seasonal produce from our market garden which requires frequent or timely picking (tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, beans, spinach, courgettes, lettuces etc).
The boxes generally contain potatoes, onions and carrots (apart from the potato & onion free box, of course!) The remaining items are made up of seasonal vegetables which vary week by week. Summer examples include: tomato, sweetcorn, broccoli, cucumber, lettuce, beans, pepper, peas, spinach, courgette. Winter examples include: cabbage, beetroot, parsnip, swede, turnip, celeriac, kale, leek, cauliflower, squash and cut salad leaves.
We can also deliver an extra bag of potatoes for £1.80.
