Here's how our box scheme works:
Deliveries
We deliver on Thursday afternoons, usually between 1 and 7pm to home or work addresses (we currently only deliver in the town of Frome itself). Please let us know if you have specific requirements as to where to leave the box. Please leave your empty box from the previous week out for us to collect, either under cover or in a plastic bag if it's likely to rain - this helps us to reduce wastage and keep costs down. We normally knock on your door when we leave your box and then leave immediately - we don't mean to be rude, but we have a lot of boxes to deliver! We're happy to answer your queries if you do stop us on the doorstep, but we don't carry any information about payments etc with us, so if you have specific queries it's best if you contact us via phone or, preferably, email.
Changes/Cancellations
It's a great help if you can let us have any changes or cancellations by 6pm on the Thursday of the week preceding the change, as we have to settle our orders a week in advance. However, we'll do our best to accommodate your requests up to 6pm on the day before the delivery.
Frequency
We can deliver weekly, fortnightly, monthly or on an ad hoc basis subject to availability. We can also deliver alternating box sizes. Please contact us with your requirements.
Payment
We accept cash or cheques (payable to 'Vallis Veg Boxes') on delivery. However, our preferred method of payment is by standing order for regular customers - details are on the back of the newsletter in your box each week. We can issue statements of your account upon request.
Newsletter/Blog
The newsletter in the box each week indicates the source of the vegetables, and mentions any other practical issues relevant to customers: please take a moment to scan it briefly for any important information. You'll find more general information - including recipes, tips on using and storing vegetables, and news about our market garden and the wider world of sustainable growing on our blog.
Delivery Area
Unfortunately, at present we're able to deliver in Frome only.

Provenance
We grow as much of the produce as we can ourselves on our market garden site in Vallis Vale, on the outskirts of Frome (though see our Box Scheme page for information on special arrangements in 2012). The rest we buy in from local suppliers, mostly based in North Somerset via the Community Farm. All our bought-in produce is organically certified.
