This group, sponsored by Vallis Veg and Sustainable Frome, aims to support local gardeners and growers in their efforts to save vegetable seeds and breed new local varieties of vegetables by:
- holding regular meetings for members to discuss and learn about the practicalities (and politics) of seed saving & plant breeding
- acting as a co-ordinating group to help members plan and share their seed-saving and plant breeding activities
- providing a library of books, tools and other resources available for loan to members
- providing this website as an information resource, together with a discussion page here
- keeping a membership list and register of projects/members’ interests (declare your duckhouses now!)
