The following websites are useful.

Garden Organic (formerly the Henry Doubleday Research Association). Lots of information available to members on seed saving. Also runs the Heritage Seed Library, which makes heirloom vegetable varieties available to members. http://www.gardenorganic.org.uk/

Seed Savers Exchange is a US non-profit organisation. It has an excellent website with a discussion forum for general gardening issues as well as seed-saving specifically. Members get its highly regarded quarterly publications, including the Seed Savers Yearbook, which lists thousands of heirloom vegetable varieties available between members – probably the world’s greatest resource for amateur plant breeders. Overseas membership is available.

The Seed Savers Network is an Australian organisation run by Michel and Jude Fanton, who co-authored the excellent Seed Savers Handbook. Lots of good stuff on the website, including reflections on some of the environmental/political issues around seed-saving.
